With all but a dozen or so teams out of the wild-card race and beginning to cast an eye toward next season and beyond, you’re going to see some veterans’ playing time cut back so that the youngsters can show their wares. This can be because of injuries, pending free agency or simply a team’s wanting to give him a longer look-see. Before the September roster expansion rush begins, here are some players currently up who stand to gain some added playing time, if they haven’t already.
