Don’t look now but Reds OF Adam Duvall is suddenly second to only Nolan Arenado for the home run lead in the NL, and his 17 long balls rank fifth in the majors. It’s not that Duvall’s power is a shock. He hit 53 HRs over two triple-A seasons in 2014 and ’15 in the Giants organization. Then, after being acquired in the Mike Leake deal last year, he hit five in just 64 ABs for Cinci. Still, a high K rate, low AVG and the uncertainty of regular ABs as the short end of a LF platoon with Scott Schebler made the 27-year-old RH batter a risky pickup.
Fantasy Fare: Duvall looks likes the real deal
