TORONTO -- The Blue Jays welcomed Edwin Encarnacion back into their lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins at Roger Centre. Encarnacion missed a pair of games with a sore left shoulder, which required a cortisone shot after he was removed from Saturday's contest against the Astros.
He was in the lineup as designated hitter, batting in the cleanup spot as the Blue Jays vied for their seventh win in a row.
"He's a huge threat in our lineup," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "He's one of the best hitters in the game."
Josh Donaldson was back at third after slotting in the DH role on Monday, and Chris Colabello returned to left field after appearing at first base for a game.
