Edmonton's Bill Comrie, holder of several championship rings, off to World Series as part owner of Chicago Cubs

EDMONTON -- Bill Comrie was born in 1950. The last time the Chicago Cubs made it to a World Series was 1945. Today, he's part-owner of the Cubs in the World Series.

"Is this unbelievable or what?" he told your correspondent as he contemplated being part of history.

"I was sitting there at Game 6 of the NLCS with my sons Mike and Ty thinking back to when I was in Grade 4 in Edmonton, and my first baseball experience.
