TORONTO - If pitcher David Price stays in Toronto, his pooch Astro will be treated like royalty.
That’s one of the latest promises posted to the Any Price for David website, where more than 1,000 fans have made all kinds of pledges to try to encourage the free agent to sign with the Blue Jays.
The concern is Price will choose a team that offers more money and more years than the Jays.
Rob Godfrey, former senior vice-president of the Jays and a partner in Park9, a canine resort for dogs, says Astro will be offered free boarding for the entire length of Price’s contract if he returns to the Jays.
