Toronto Blue Jays first baseman and designated hitter Chris Colabello has been suspended for 80 games without pay by Major League Baseball after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance named dehydrochlormethyltestosterone. Colabello has struggled this season, hitting just .069 after a breakout 2015 with the Blue Jays where he hit 15 home runs and batted .321. No further details have been released by Major League Baseball. Colabello reportedly held a closed-door meeting with his teammates today. The Blue Jays are now left with a roster choice on their hands. They will have the option to call up another first baseman, such as Jesus Montero or Casey Kotchman.
