The Blue Jays had at least two options when it came to trading Marcus Stroman.
Marcus Stroman is no longer a Blue Jay, as leading up to the 2019 trade deadline he was traded to the New York Mets for pitching prospects Anthony Kay and Simeon-Woods Richardson. The front office could have traded him at another time though, before the 2019 season.
