According to Andy Martino of Sportsnet New York, the Blue Jays have “told interested teams that they might not trade [Marcus] Stroman, but extend him”.
Martino continues by noting that it is unknown whether or not the Blue Jays are serious about this premise, or if it’s simply a negotiating tactic.
In a separate report, Jamie Campbell of Sportsnet tweets that the Blue Jays are “not being offered top tier prospects for [Stroman]” at this point in time.
