Sportsnet 650 Acquires Rights to Broadcast Canadians
According to a release by Sportsnet, Sportsnet 650 has acquired “exclusive radio rights” to the Vancouver Canadians, the Class-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. The release notes that Sportsnet will carry home games and “select” road games in 2019.
The Canadians, who play at Nat Bailey Stadium, have been an affiliate of the Blue Jays since 2011.
Gibby Would Like to Manage Again
According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, John Gibbons would “love to manage again”. Morosi, who appeared on MLB Network Radio on October 21, noted that Gibby acknowledged that managerial positions are “hard to come by”.
