Conner Greene is moving up the ladder. The Blue Jays have promoted their right-hander to the double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats after making 15 starts with a 2.90 ERA as a member of the Dunedin Blue Jays. While the top of Toronto’s pitching prospect talent has grown closer with strong seasons from Jon Harris, Sean Reid-Foley, Francisco Rios, and Angel Perdomo, Greene now represents the closest arm to being MLB-ready. If he’s able to conquer double-A hitters in a similar fashion, depending on his workload, don’t rule out Greene as a dark horse bullpen candidate for late in the season.
