As much as it’s fun to watch out beloved MLB players competing in a tournament like the World Baseball Classic, it always brings the apprehension that someone will get hurt, while on loan from their MLB teams.
That’s exactly what’s happened for Canadian outfielder, Dalton Pompey.
Pompey sustained a concussion earlier in the week, as he attempted to steal second base. At the time, he appeared to be okay as he stayed in the game and went back on defence, but was replaced in the next inning.
On Thursday, we learned that Pompey will have to go through the MLB’s concussion protocol before he can return to the field.
