After a memorable, and resurgent, season at the plate for George Springer, the Toronto Blue Jays veteran will get to take home some hardware to remember his 2025 campaign. As announced live and exclusively on The Baseball Insiders YouTube channel, the 36-year-old Springer has added his third career Silver Slugger award to his trophy case, this one credited to his work as a Designated Hitter.
It caps off a year not many saw coming as Springer had one of the worst years offensively in 2024. Hampered by injuries all year long, Springer hit just .220/.303/.371 with 19 home runs in 145 games.
