The wheel keeps turning in Toronto, as the Blue Jays have officially announced the signing of free agent pitcher Gavin Floyd to a one-year, $1 million major league deal. The deal reportedly includes up to $1 million in incentives that are awarded for time spent on the active roster.
To make room for Floyd on the 40-man roster, Chad Jenkins has been designated for assignment.

Floyd earning a guaranteed major league deal here is rather surprising as a number of factors pointed towards this being a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training (much like Roberto Hernandez, Scott Diamond and several others).
