Blue Jays’ Devon Travis may benefit from demotion

To say Devon Travis is struggling would be a gross understatement, the 27-year old is finally healthy but has struggled mightily out of the gate. Devo is batting .140/.218/.160 with only one extra-base hit in his first 15 games of the 2018 campaign.

Travis along with newcomer Randal Grichuk has virtually provided zero offence for the Jays during the first month of the season. Grichuk has been surpassed by Teoscar Hernandez on the outfield depth chart and relegated to the bench of last in favour of the young slugger.

Grichuk does not have any minor league options remaining after his former team burned his last one demoting him last season.
