CLEVELAND - For Daniel Norris, his ticket to triple-A Buffalo on Friday wasn't so much a demotion as it was a chance to step back and breathe a little bit.
After his outing Thursday, in which he went to a full count on seven of the last 11 hitters he faced and needed 78 pitches to get through three innings, albeit shutout innings, the Jays' brass decided he needed to go to Buffalo for as long as it takes to get his command and rhythm back.
"He needs to go down and iron it out a little bit," manager John Gibbons said.
