Blue Jays: Dalton Pompey to suit up for Olympic qualifier

Dalton Pompey struggled with injuries yet again this past season after suffering a concussion in the Blue Jays locker room during spring training. Pompey would only see action in 17 games as he rehabbed himself back to full health. In 64 plate appearances, the 26-year old hit .226 with 12 hits and one stolen base in three attempts on the farm.

Pompey will team up with his younger brother Tristan Pompey on the Canadian roster when the tourney kicks off in early November. The younger Pompey was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the third round of the 2018 amateur draft.
