The native of Mississauga is rehabbing his way back from a concussion suffered sliding into second base during the World Baseball Classic tourney earlier in this spring.
Pompey began the day hitting leadoff and playing centre field for the herd today versus the Charlotte Knights. The 24-year old went 1 for 2 with a first-inning single in his Triple-A season debut.
According to the Bisons twitter feed, Pompey also made a shoestring catch in the first inning to prevent a base hit. The speedster would strike out swinging in his second at-bat before being replaced in the 4th inning by Jake Elmore.
