Anthony Alford has the raw talent and God-given talent to make scouts get sweaty behind the collar, however, the outfielder can’t seem to put it all together when given the opportunity.
The 25-year old put on a display two nights ago when Alford was injected into the lineup as a pinch-runner in the ninth inning. Unbeknownst to everyone, the contest would go 15 innings with Alford being the hero in the wee hours of the morning.
Alford beat out an infield chopper to the third baseman in extra innings showcasing the pure speed he possesses.
