WATCH: Footage From The O.J. Simpson White Bronco Chase

On June 17th, 1994, O.J. Simpson was involved in one of the most famous and bizarre police chases in television history when his now-infamous white Bronco chase occurred. Today is the 22nd anniversary of that chase, and we've embedded the video of the chase as well as a few tidbits from the event below.

Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were found murdered on June 12th, 1994. Simpson was the prime suspect and was supposed to turn himself on June 17. Instead, Simpson went missing. That led to the famous low-speed police chase, as Simpsons' friend Al Cowlings "fled" police while Simpson rode in the back with a gun. A portion of that chase, as aired by CNN is below.

Simpson was supposed to turn himself into police at 11 a.m. that day. He was missing until 5:51 that day, when Simpson made a 911 call from cell phone inside the White Bronco. The call came less than an hour after Simpson's friend, Robert Kardashian read a letter from Simpson that many viewed as a suicide note.

The chase lasted two hours before Simpson and Cowlings returned to Simpson's home. It took nearly another hour before police were able to talk Simpson down and get him to turn himself in.
