Yankees withstand rain delay, late Rockies rally to take rubber match

Up 4-2 in the fifth inning, the Yankees and Rockies paused for a rain delay at Coors Field that lasted one hour and 46 minutes. When play resumed, the Rockies got a run back and the Yankees were suddenly on the verge of losing the lead, and potentially the series to the lowly Colorado club.

J.C. Escarra came through for the Bombers, lining a two-out RBI (his second of the day) single to right to score Jasson Dominguez and give the Yankees a much-needed insurance run. The catcher finished 3-4 (his first three-hit game) on the day.
