Tommy Kahnle entered the game and picked up right where Tanaka left off, setting down the Twins in order and striking out Jorge Polanco and Eddie Rosario. The Yankees did not score in the bottom of the inning. Giancarlo Stanton was taken out of the game for pinch-runner Cameron Maybin after Stanton drew a walk, and Maybin is now in left field.
