Yankees, Blue Jays brawl results in two injured Blue Jays

A pair of Toronto Blue Jays players were injured while scuffling on field with the New York Yankees as benches cleared Monday night.

Blue Jays relief pitcher Joaquin Benoit will miss the rest of the regular season with a torn left calf muscle, manager John Gibbons told reporters Tuesday afternoon. Devon Travis, Toronto's starting second baseman, also was hurt during the scrum and re-aggravated a left shoulder injury pushing and shoving.

Travis said he was feeling better Tuesday after being unable to lift his arm following the game.

He missed the first two months of the season recovering from offseason surgery on the shoulder, and it's been a chronic issue since.
