Yadier Molina: The constant to the Cardinals' success

ST. LOUIS -- Panic, ever so slowly, was starting to set in among St. Louis Cardinals fans.

All-Star catcher Yadier Molina could feel it, sense it, and Wednesday afternoon he made sure his teammates never bought into it.

Leave it to Molina to restore order, settling down first-year starter Carlos Martinez after his early struggles, coaxing four relievers through the final four innings and again impacting the game in a fashion no else can.

The Cardinals, on the verge of being swept by the Chicago Cubs at home for the first time in five years — trailing in every inning of all three games until the eighth inning Wednesday — pulled off a dramatic 4-3 comeback victory, buoyed by a bullpen that yielded just one baserunner.
