Action sports series X Games has hired Nike and Apple veteran marketer Kevin O’Connor as its chief marketing officer, the latest addition to the overhauled C-suite in anticipation of a new league-based format in 2026.
O’Connor spent nearly eight years with Nike, spending most of his tenure in marketing for athletic training, including two years as marketing director of the men’s training category and a year as the marketing director for global women’s training.
He moved on to Apple but quickly joined the newly acquired Beats by Dre, the popular headphones and audio accessory company, eventually becoming the head of global sports marketing for the brand.
