AJ Styles won the WWE World title from Dean Ambrose in a great main event to cap off Backlash on Sunday night. Smackdown's first brand-exclusive PPV (since the last time they tried brand exclusive PPVs) was a bit of a mixed bag, with a bunch of guys who didn't feel like they belonged on PPV in the first place. Still, a mostly enjoyable show, ending with a great match and the result that we've all been waiting to see for months now.
Becky Lynch wins the first Smackdown Women's title
The show opened with a good six-way match to establish the first Smackdown Women's champion, featuring yet another ugly variation on the same belt.
