Nick Cushing says City’s participation at the World Sevens presents a strong opportunity for the Club.
The Blues are one of eight teams at the inaugural seven-a-side tournament held in Estoril, Lisbon alongside other European giants.
City then opened our campaign with a emphatic 4-0 win over Rosengard where goals from Aoba Fujino, Kerolin Nicoli (two) and Aemu Oyama helped us to our first point in the competition.
And the Blues interim head coach believes the attacking focus of World Sevens aligns with City’s ethos.
“It’s an attacking football game, there is attacking in every moment of the game so I knew it was going to be exciting, and I enjoyed it,” he declared.
