Winners & Losers: Kansas finish just what Carl Edwards needed going to Talladega

Carl Edwards didn't have a terrible race last week at Charlotte. He just didn't have a very good one.

While Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Matt Kenseth (second) and Kyle Busch (sixth) had decent days in the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Edwards came in a not-so-great 12th. While he was involved in the big wreck on Lap 260, it didn't prevent him from finishing on the lead lap and landing sixth in the Chase standings.

Sunday at Kansas Speedway, during the Hollywood Casino 400, Edwards had a much stronger performance. He led 61 laps and finished an impressive second place.
