Will T.J. Watt refuse to participate at Steelers OTAs amid ongoing contract negotiations?

Related Topics: TJ Watt, Pittsburgh Steelers

History could repeat itself with T.J. Watt and a potential hold-in during the Steelers offseason — but we will know for certain at OTAs.

Back in 2021, Watt’s infamous hold-in lasted all offseason — until he signed a four-year contract extension worth $112 million just days before the regular season kicked off. A similar situation is fast approaching in 2025, as Steelers OTAs have arrived — and fans may get a glimpse as to whether or not Watt will stage another hold-in.

If Watt does hold in, it's unlikely he'll participate in any team practices — aiming to force the Steelers’ hand in extending him.
