Chris Mosier is a Team USA duathlete. Earning that wasn't easy. He's also the first transgender Olympian in U.S. history. That made things even tougher.
Acknowledging both of those realities is part of what make the new Nike ad starring Mosier so effective. The ad isn't dark. It isn't melodramatic. It's matter-of-fact about Mosier's accomplishment; he didn't know if he'd be good enough, or if he'd be allowed to compete, or if he'd be accepted — but he went for it anyway.
