Labinot Kabashi is loving life - at just 16 years old, the young Barcelona midfielder was called up to play for Kosovo this week. But many fans of the Catalan club will be asking: who is this latest international to emerge from La Masia?
The story is an interesting one. Kabashi was born in what is now Kosovo in 2000 but fled the war-torn nation with his family just two years later to escape ethnic cleansing of those with Albanian roots by brutal Serbian forces.
The territory belonged to Serbia back then but has been Kosovo since 2008 and the nation made its official debut on the football field in June against the Faroe Islands.
