When does the Champions League knockout stage start?

The 2016-17 UEFA Champions League group stage is coming to an end, with the field whittled down from 32 to 16.

Most of the field is already set, with the likes of Arsenal, PSG, Barcelona and Manchester City advancing to the next round. The matchups will be set next week during a draw.

The knockout stage will begin in February, when teams will play the first leg of their round of 16 matchup on one of four dates. The second leg will be played in March.

The final for this year's Champions League, which will be played in Cardiff, will take place in June.
