Gus Malzahn has found his replacement for offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee, bringing Arizona State offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey back to Auburn as the Tigers' new play-caller.

Here's what you need to know about Lindsey.

A return home

Lindsey, 42, was just hired at Arizona State in December 2015 to fill the spot on Todd Graham's staff after Mike Norvell was hired away to be Memphis' next coach. Much of Lindsey's coaching career has been in the south and specifically in the state of Alabama, where coached alongside John Mothershed at Deshler and Rush Propst at Hoover before becoming head coach at Colbert Heights in Tuscumbia, Ala.
