Going into to WWE Payback on Sunday night, most fans expected a show heavy on good wrestling. You’d have every reason to think that considering the lineup.
For the most part, that’s what happened although there were other story lines. Too many of them actually and those are the ones people seem to remember in the aftermath.
One of them couldn’t be helped due to a scary injury in the opening match. The others could have been between a flashback to a finish from nearly two decades ago to a “new era” once again starting.
