This was probably most apparent during Laila Ali's tribute to her father Muhammad on Sunday during the 2016 BET Awards. Building on actor Jamie Foxx's reflections on the boxing legend who died earlier this month at age 74, Ali spoke of the boxing and cultural icon's message of love, compassion and courage.
“My father lived his life with conviction and purpose,” she said, in part. “He is known the world over as the greatest athlete of all time.
