The Quicken Loans National has featured the young and old this week. Rookie Jon Rahm, making his professional debut, was the story the first two days as the co-leader after 36 holes.
Chasing Rahm and Billy Hurley III coming into Saturday were a pair of wily old veterans in Ernie Els and Vijay Singh. Els made a jump up the leaderboard in the third round after he eagled the par-4 12th from the fairway.
Els didn't need a hop or a roll for his eagle, as he chose to fly it directly into the hole.
