Coastal Carolina's incredible run to a College World Series title concluded Thursday afternoon in thrilling fashion as CCU closed out Arizona in Game 3 of the finals behind a 9th inning strikeout with the game-tying run on third base. The Chanticleers not only won the title the program's first CWS visit, but recorded the school's first Division I national title in any sport.
The win sent a shockwave throughout the Carolinas, including in Clemson with the Tigers football program.
