After getting under his opponents' skin with the Chicago Blackhawks for the last five seasons, Andrew Shaw will now terrorize the Eastern Conference with the Montreal Canadiens. He got off to a very early start at doing just that in Tuesday night's preseason game between the Habs and Washington Captials.
Shaw probably actually went a bit too far with his antics in his first game in a Montreal uniform.
It all started with a bad hit on Capitals prospect Connor Hobbs, whose back was turned to Shaw the entire time. The new Habs forward drove Hobbs into the boards.
