Washington rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins was off to a strong start against the New York Giants on Sunday, completing his first 10 passes. He finished the first half 12-of-15 for 133 yards and two touchdowns.
But on the first offensive snap of the third quarter, Haskins was sacked by Markus Golden and Lorenzo Carter. The 7-yard loss wasn’t the worst of the play: Haskins suffered a left ankle injury on the play and had to be carted off the field.
Washington announced him as questionable to return to the game.
