Washington, D.C. reportedly set to host 2027 NFL Draft as Commanders prepare to return to the city

The NFL Draft is headed to the nation’s capital.

The league is set to announce that Washington, D.C. will host the NFL Draft in 2027, according to both Axios and The Washington Post's Mark Maske. The announcement is expected to come on Monday at the White House, when commissioner Roger Goodell and Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris will meet with President Donald Trump.

Specifics of the draft are not yet known, though Axios reported on Sunday night that the hope is to actually host the draft on the National Mall.
