MEMPHIS — Against all odds, the Memphis Grizzlies had managed to turn the Golden State Warriors’ glorified instructional video into an actual basketball game.
The crowd at FedEx Forum on Friday night was alive when the Grizzlies’ Jeff Green tried to find space for a jumper in the final seconds of the third quarter. But after the Warriors’ Andre Iguodala blocked Green’s attempt, Stephen Curry collected the ball, turned and fired from 62 feet as the buzzer sounded: swish.
Given Curry’s body of work this season, perhaps the play should not have come as a huge surprise.
