Warriors 104, Cavaliers 91: N.B.A. Finals: Stephen Curry Leads Warriors to Series Lead

OAKLAND, Calif. — Finally, for the Golden State Warriors, it felt like the regular season and the early rounds of the playoffs. Everything loosened up. The shots started to fall. The fans started to roar. Stephen Curry looked every bit the N.B.A.’s most valuable player.

Led by Curry’s 37 points, 17 of them in the fourth quarter, Golden State beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, 104-91, in Game 5 of the finals on Sunday night. The three-games-to-two series lead leaves the Warriors one victory from their first N.B.A. championship since 1975.

“That was just Steph taking over the game,” Warriors Coach Steve Kerr said.
