EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Vikings' defense has a motto: “If they don’t score, they don’t win.”
The statement is cliche, and Captain Munnerlyn knows it. But the Vikings nickel cornerback says that when the squad suffered the loss of starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to a knee injury in August, defensive players needed something to inspire hope that Super Bowl dreams weren’t dashed.

“When [Bridgewater] went down, we were all like, ‘Man, what are we going to do?” Munnerlyn told Sporting News earlier this week at Vikings headquarters.
