Southern California coach Steve Sarkisian apologized Sunday for his appearance at a booster event the night before in which he allegedly appeared under the influence of alcohol.
Though the apology wasn't specific in nature, reports from attendees of the "Salute to Troy" party began to circulate on Twitter and USC fan message boards overnight, indicating that Sarkisian had to be pulled off stage by athletics director Pat Haden during a profanity-filled speech in which he allegedly was slurring his words.
Video of the incident has not yet surfaced.
"I sincerely apologize to my players and staff and to our fans for my behavior and inappropriate language at our kickoff event Saturday night," Sarkisian said in an athletic department release.
