Paris (AFP) - It's new and some would say nasty. Others see it as a challenge. Everyone agrees though that Chambers Bay Golf Course -- host to the 2015 US Open -- is different.
Tucked away in the US Pacific Northwest, south of Seattle, the course was only opened eight years ago and already it will be the venue for one of golf's greatest tournaments.
Shelved away for one year at least are the classic US Open venues like Oakmont, Pinehurst and Merion and in their place, in a ground-breaking move by the US Golf Association (USGA), comes a roller-coaster of a layout -- modelled on Scottish links courses.
