U.S. Open Day 4 After Dark: Serena wins, Donaldson upsets Troicki

After rain soaked the Billie Jean King U.S.T.A. National Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon, an already–eventful night session became even busier as a number of day matches were pushed back several hours.

The first match of the Arthur Ashe Stadium night session saw top seed Serena Williams ease by Vania King, beating her American compatriot 6-3, 6-3. But the biggest story of the night for American tennis is No. 122 in the world Jared Donaldson's improbable straight–sets victory over Viktor Troicki.

Stan Wawrinka, Juan Martin del Potro, Steve Johnson, Agnieszka Radwanska and Donald Young are also in action on Thursday night.
