Two-time major champion Martin Kaymer, who’ll be defending his U.S. Open crown this week at Chambers Bay, gave a particularly interesting press conference on Tuesday where he talked, among other things, about winning and losing.
Kaymer has a reputation for giving thought-provoking interviews, but he dropped an interesting nugget during this particular press conference when he questioned the desire of some of his fellow pros:
“Some players they just have it naturally, that they want to win. For example, Mickelson, I can imagine if he’s up there in contention, he doesn’t really care if he finishes second or 15th or 18th, or wherever, he wants to win.
