Facing an opponent with more than five times his professional MMA experience, Chimaev (9-0, 3-0 in the UFC) wasted no time in adding to his starry legacy in progress, knocking out Gerald Meerschaert in 17 seconds with the first punch he threw on Saturday at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.
