Just by taking the floor at the start of Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro managed to make some history.
At 20 years and 256 days old, Herro was the youngest player to ever start in an NBA Finals, via Malika Andrews. The previous record-holder had been Magic Johnson during his legendary performance at the 1980 NBA Finals.
Herro’s historic start came at the expense of veteran guard Goran Dragic, who was out for Game 2 and possibly longer after sustaining a plantar tear during Game 1.
