Furniture Row Racing's alliance with Joe Gibbs Racing continues to bear fruit. An announcement planned Tuesday is expected to bring the small NASCAR team to a new level. Erik Jones could be part of the news.
It has long been speculated that Furniture Row would add a car for the 2017 Cup season. And because of its ties to the powerful Gibbs team, it appears Furniture Row will have a talented young driver to send into competition each week with Martin Truex Jr.
Gibbs, loaded with talent in its four Cup cars, also has a wealth of young drivers it is nurturing.
