Just over a month into the season, the sports books at SportsBetting Dime have refreshed their list of MLB props, even posting odds on whether Donald Trump will name fellow conservative Curt Schilling as his running mate for the 2016 presidential election.
If that sounds outlandish, well, it is, and the oddsmakers agree — they’ve hung 12,000-to-1 odds on a Trump-Schilling GOP ticket.
Schilling has been one of the most polarizing figures in baseball this season. The pitcher-turned-broadcaster was fired by ESPN for a Facebook post regarding North Carolina’s controversial HB2 law concerning the rights transgender people have to use the bathroom of their choice (for the record, Trump has stated he is opposed to the law, which puts him and Schilling on different sides of the issue).
